A very fresh and densely fruited nose offers up high-toned notes of red currant, earth and sauvage hints. Consistent with the nose there is fine concentration to the intense, delicious and sappy medium-bodied flavors that deliver fine length on the overtly rustic and ever-so-mildly warm finish. This is a classic Gevrey that isn’t elegant but possesses excellent complexity for its level. Worth a look. (Burghound)
