Historical XIXth Century Wine
This Historical XIXth Century Wine is a homage to 19th Century practice of blending Hermitage with the wine of Bordeaux. The blending of traditional Bordeaux grape varietals with Syrah from the North of the Côtes du Rhône region brings an exotic touch to evoke the history of the wine and maintained Chateau Palmer’s characteristics of smoothness, elegance, balance and refinement.
Vintage 2007 is the third vintage that Chateau Palmer has tried this experiment, the fascinating blend of 88% Bordeaux grape varietals (Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon) from Chateau Palmer in Margaux and 12% Syrah from Côtes du Rhône region. This Hermitage can be recognized as a lot number at the bottom of the label “L.20.07”

Tasting Note :
On the nose lovely fresh floral notes, followed by lots of red and black fruits, as well as cedar wood and black pepper. The palate is full bodied, with prominent, ripe tannins. Extremely long finish. |
